Alex Lambert, Lily Scott Voted off American Idol

The final 16 contestants were whittled down to 12 on the American Idol results show on Thursday—and, as usual, it was a bit of a shock. Two favorites went home seeming as surprised as anyone, and the show continued on with its final 12.
