It’s official: Tim Burton’s 3-D Alice in Wonderland became the 10th highest-grossing film of all time on Tuesday—even surpassing the 2002 blockbuster The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Burton’s movie grossed $928.9 million in the box office, edging out the $925.3 million grossed by Peter Jackson’s epic film. The only caveat, of course, is that Alice was in 3-D, which gives an extra advantage in box office numbers.
