A rain storm has left roads dangerously icy in the Dallas area, resulting in the cancellation of 974 flights at Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport as of Saturday morning. A spokesman for the airport, David Magana, said the around 5,000 people were forced to spend the night at the airport, with cots, blankets and toiletries provided by the airport. The National Weather Service has advised people to stay off the roads until the ice has melted.
