Amanda Bynes was arrested Thursday night in New York City, after allegedly trying to throw a bong out a window—on the 36th foor of the apartment building. Police said they responded to a call of someone smoking marijuana in the lobby of a midtown apartment building, but the person wasn’t in the lobby anymore. Police said the doorman led them up to her apartment, where they knocked on the door and Bynes let them inside—and police said the apartment was allegedly filled with marijuana smoke. But when she apparently realized police could see the bong, she then allegedly tossed it out the window, which was on the 36th floor. She was arrested for reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence, and criminal possession of marijuana.
