Four years after her arrest for murder, Amanda Knox was once again before an Italian courtroom Monday claiming innocence. "I did not kill. I did not rape. I did not steal," she said. "I was not there." Knox wept at the end of her statement, proclaiming, “I am innocent.” Two judges and six jurors then immediately began to deliberate whether to overturn Knox’s 26-year sentence—or to increase it to life imprisonment, as prosecutors have requested.
