The UAE is not amused. An American living in the United Arab Emirates was sentenced on Monday to a year in prison and a fine of approximately $2,700 after posting a parody video short of a group of Dubai teens known as "Satwa G" who mimic hip-hop culture. Shezanne Cassim, a 29-year-old from Woodbury, Minnesota, has been held since April under charges of endangering national security. "He's a big fan of SNL, Funny or Die, all those shows, and he and his friends just wanted to make a funny sketch comedy in their spare time," his brother said.
