'American Sniper' Made $105M in 4 Days

American Sniper made $105.3 million over Martin Luther King weekend, smashing previous record-holder Ride Along, which had pulled in $48.6 million. The Oscar-nominated drama was produced for about $60 million and only premiered in a handful of theaters on Christmas day. The controversial film had the largest opening weekend for an R-rated drama since The Passion of the Christ in 2004.
