Amnesiac Woman Not Really Australian

A cancer-stricken amnesiac woman whose Australian accent ignited an international search for her family has been identified by her nephew. He says the woman, Ashley Menatta, is 53—and her home is in San Diego, nowhere near Sydney. Menatta was found near her hometown in February with a large tumor and no memory. Her dreams about Australia were likely a result of her trips to the country, doctors now say. She will go live with an older sister in Maryland.
