Anger at Dems Fueled Brown Win

The pundits were right. A new poll shows Republican Scott Brown became Massachusetts' senator-elect on account of voters' dissatisfaction with the current president's approach as well as opposition to health-care reform. The survey, conducted by The Washington Post, the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, and Harvard University's School of Public Health, shows the impact of voter anger against Obama and Democrats. Sixty-three percent of Massachusetts voters say they believe America is off-track. Approximately two-thirds of those who voted for Brown over Democrat Marth Coakley said their choice was somewhat influenced by a desire to express disagreement toward the Democratic agenda. Over half of those who backed Brown said Obama was not a factor in their vote, despite nearly three-quarters of those polled claiming to be either dissatisfied or angry about the Obama administration's initiatives.
