Apple launched its Mac App Store on Thursday, providing iPhone-style applications for laptop and desktop computers. Apps will be purchased and installed with a single click, and charged through your iTunes account. There are over 1,000 paid and free apps, though prices are a bit higher than iPhone users may be used to: iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand for $14.99 each; Pages, Keynote, and Numbers apps for $19.99 each; and Aperture 3, photo-editing software, for $79.99.
