After months of anticipation, Apple has unveiled the iPad, which will begin shipping in 60 days. It is 0.5 inches thick, weighs 1.5 pounds, and has a 9.7 inch display. It will come in 16 GB , 32 GB, and 64 GB models, and the battery, Jobs says, can last up to 10 hours. It has a touch-screen keyboard, which Jobs says is “a dream to type on.” Jobs also revealed iBooks—basically, iTunes for books. All models will come with WiFi, and some will also have 3G. Without 3G, models will cost between $499 and $699. With 3G, they'll cost an additional $130. AT&T will offer two plans—$14.99/month for 250MB of data and $29.99/month for unlimited data. Contracts can be canceled at any time.
