Jurors have decided Shawna Forde, an anti-immigration activist who killed a 9-year-old girl and her father, deserves to die. Forde was convicted Feb. 14 of the 2009 murders, in which Forde and other vigilantes affiliated with the Minutemen border guards entered a mobile home under the pretence of being law-enforcement officers, then shot Brisenia and Raul Flores as well as mother Gina Gonzalez, who survived. The jury deliberated four hours before handing down the death sentence, which prosecutors had sought.
