When fashion icon Lady Gaga took the stage on American Idol Wednesday night to perform her new single "Alejandro," she sported a show-stopping Giorgio Armani original number. The dichotomous revealing veiled ensemble included a silk organza cape, complete with a hood, and black patent leather stilettos. But when she lost the outerwear mid-song, she revealed a head-to-toe black mesh bodysuit with strategically placed embroidered lace, crystals, and beading. "Dressing Lady Gaga for the Grammy Awards, the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala, and now for American Idol has been a very exciting project," Armani said of the process. "To complement the spirit of Lady Gaga herself, I have let my imagination run free, and the outfit I have created for her for American Idol is pure fantasy."
