Armstrong Settles $3M Lawsuit

No points for honesty? After coming clean about using performance-enhancing drugs, Lance Armstrong was sued by Nebraska-based Acceptance Insurance for the more than $3 million it paid him for winning the Tour de France. While details of the settlement have not been disclosed, attorneys said it had been “resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties.” However, this is just the first of legal battles to come for Armstrong. He still faces a $12 million lawsuit from a Dallas-based promotions company, as well as a federal lawsuit over a sponsorship with the U.S. Postal Service with possible fines in excess of $100 million.
