Prince Philip will be seen in public for the first time in two months when he visits the Royal Society of Edinburgh on 12 August.
The event will mark his return to public life after a period of convalescence.

Prince Philip, 92, had an operation on his abdomen in June and spent 11 nights at the private London Clinic. He has since been recovering at the Royals's country estate in Norfolk.
Philip will attend the Royal Society bash en route to Balmoral, the Queen's Scottish estate, where he is expected to meet Prince George for the first time.
Philip was was admitted to hospital on 6 June after attending a Buckingham Palace garden party for what was described as "exploratory" surgery.
Prince Philip, who turned 92 on 10 June, was said to be recovering well after the operation, which took place under general anaesthetic.
It was Philip's fourth hospitalisation in less than two years. he suffered a heart attack in December 2011 and was twice admitted to hospital with infections in 2012 after the ill-fated Jubilee boat procession on the Thames.
