Miranda Kerr Reportedly Won't Walk in Victoria's Secret Show: Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr will not be walking on this year's Victoria's Secret catwalk, she confirms to Fashionista. “They asked me to walk in the show, and I really wanted to, but I have to be in Asia that week,” Kerr said. “It’s interesting to know that it will be the first year that I’m not there!” The 29-year-old model has been working for the lingerie brand since 2007, and walked the show ever since -- with the exception of when she was pregnant with her now 2-year-old son Flynn. In April, Kerr told The Sydney Morning Herald that she plans on refocusing her time towards being a mother and entrepreuner. The Daily Beast reached out to a rep for Victoria's Secret for comment, who replied: "Victoria’s Secret doesn’t comment on casting on the show." [Fashionista]
Gucci Receives $144.2 Million in Counterfeit Damages: On Friday, the Italian fashion house received $144.2 million in damages for counterfeit damages that stemmed from websites selling fake products. 155 domain names have been found guilty of selling counterfeit products and have been "ordered to shut down or surrender to the brand within the next 30 days." The websites did not only sell fake Gucci merchandise online, but also utilized the brand's image and advertisements to make the items seem more legitimate. "We are extremely pleased that the court clearly understood the dangers to consumers posed by online counterfeiting organisations and has sent a strong message that counterfeiters can expect to receive severe sanctions when caught," Gucci president and CEO Patrizio di Marco said.
