Earlier this month, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers posted a clip on their YouTube page of a swirling vortex in Lake Texoma. The 8-foot whirlpool is caused by a gate in the spillway beneath the water, which the corps opened in an effort to drain some the high waters brought by heavy rains in recent weeks.
