Aruba authorities searched an abandoned phosphate mine in their hunt for Robyn Gardner, a Maryland woman who went missing on Aug. 2. One firefighter emerged with a pink shirt and sandals, but it is unclear whether they are connected with Gardner. Authorities are seeking a detention order for her travel companion, Gary V. Giordano, a 50-year-old businessman who claims that the ocean current ripped Gardner away when they were snorkeling. Gardner's boyfriend and others doubt Giordano's story.
