Three people were taken to the hospital after gunfire broke out near University of California at Santa Barbara's campus on Monday. Santa Barbara County Fire Department PIO Dave Zaniboni said three people were taken to the hospital, including two who were involved in the shooting. One of the people required medical attention and is believed to be the shooter. The third person was a victim of an assault. Campus officials have placed dorms on lockdown and a second suspect is believed to have fled the scene.
