Charles Farrell has spent most of his professional life moving—with some detours—between music and boxing. He has played with Ornette Coleman and Evan Parker, and managed five world boxing champions. His essay Why I Fixed Fights will be included in the forthcoming boxing anthology "The Bittersweet Science," edited by Michael Ezra and Carlo Rotella, published by the University of Chicago Press.  He also appears in the film documentary "Dirty Games," directed by Benjamin Best.
