Matt Tyrnauer is a filmmaker whose work includes Valentino: The Last Emperor, the forthcoming Jane Jacobs documentary, and a movie about Scotty Bowers and the secret history of gay Hollywood. He has also has written extensively about architecture for Vanity Fair and other publications.
Valentino: The Last Emperor has been shortlisted for a Best Documentary Oscar. But director Matt Tyrnauer writes that the star’s diva act and the film’s financial crises nearly sank it.
