Cross your fingers and hope for the best for him: Rescuers in Japan saved a baby finless porpoise after it became stranded in a rice paddy after the tsunami. They struggled to capture the animal with a net until finally it was so exhausted that one worker was able to grab it with his hands. Unfortunately, the animal’s future will be unknown: Damage to local aquariums means that they had to release it back into the sea. "I don't know if it will live, but it's certainly a lot better than dying in a rice paddy," one rescuer said.
