Lightning rod Rep. Michelle Bachmann gave her own response to the president's State of the Union address, to the dismay of both Democrats and Republicans alike, and to the delight her far-right base. "Instead of a leaner, smarter government," she said, "we bought a bureaucracy that tells us which light bulbs to buy, and which will put 16,500 IRS agents in charge of policing President Obama’s health-care bill." She called for the president to support the Balanced Budget Amendment, and to put the reins on the EPA.
