Protesters continue to put pressure on Bahrain's ruling Al-Khalifa family. A crowd of tens of thousands surrounded a government compound this weekend, forcing lawmakers to abandon their council meeting. Protesters are demanding sweeping reform and the resignation of the prime minister, who's been in power for 41 years. Today's protest follows a weekend of unrest. On Friday, more than 100,000 protesters gathered in the Bahraini capital. Then on Saturday, they formed a human chain between the Pearl roundabout, the epicenter of the protests, and the country's main Sunni mosque. The Shiites protesting the Sunni dominated government have been careful to avoid sectarian slogans, but violence broke out between the two groups on Thursday when riot police had to break up a fight between a Sunni and a Shiite group in the town of Hamad.
