Hopefully everyone will be out by New Year’s. Armed robbers are holding at least two people hostage at a Chase Bank in Pearland, Texas. The crisis began at 11 a.m., when a passerby called the police to report masked men entering the bank. Seeing a cop pull into the parking lot, the robbers returned to the bank and took customers and employees hostage. They also reportedly beat and wounded a bank manager, whose condition is unknown. So far, at least five hostages have been released. About 60 law enforcement officers, including FBI agents and SWAT officers, are on the scene.
