Things could be more tense than usual, as Obama is expected to press Calderon to allow U.S. agents working in Mexico to carry firearms for their own protection. Obama’s move comes after a U.S. immigration agent was shot dead in Northern Mexico. The U.S. is also expected to speed up its aid to Mexico for the drug war.
