Former Senator Evan Bayh, currently in a race to win back his old seat, was deemed an "inactive" voter by election officials in Indiana on Thursday. Election officials sent postcards to his residence to check if he lived there and on two separate occasions, he could not be reached. Bayh is still a registered voter but the issue is likely to exacerbate Republican attacks that he quickly abandoned his state for Washington D.C. since he left office.
