Former BBC presenter Stuart Hall on Thursday admitted to 14 counts of sexual abuse against girls ages 9 to 17 between 1967 and 1986. Hall, 83, formerly hosted It’s a Knockout and most recently was a sports commenter on BBC’s Radio 5 and sports columnist. He pleaded guilty April 16 and will be sentenced June 17. According to the charges, he sexually molested a 9-year-old girl in the 1980s by sticking a hand up her clothing, and he also allegedly kissed a 13-year-old girl on the lips. He had also been accused of rape, which he denied, and the complaint has been dropped. Nazir Afzal, the chief Crown prosecutor on the case, called Hall an “opportunistic predator.”
