It might be Monday morning, and you may be reinstalled at your desk, inhaling coffee and wallowing in self-pity. Indeed, life is hard. But you can take solace from the fact that you are not Jules Plisson, and your job is not playing rugby.
Jules is a large man, and he probably felt fairly confident representing the French national team at the 6 Nations tournament. Unfortunately for him, a slightly larger man named Courtney Lawes plays for England.
Mr. Lawes took it upon himself to deliver an absolute pile driver on Plisson, hitting him from the blind side as he passed the ball. Watch Plisson’s neck snap back violently and remember that your neck, though it may be sore by day’s end from gazing idly at a computer screen, is not Plisson’s neck.
There are many replays–probably too many–in case you're unsure if that really just happened. Somehow Plisson stayed in the game and the hit was ruled legal. England went on to win, 55-35.
