As beards, mustaches, and campaigns like “No Shave November” and “Movember” gain in popularity, the shaving industry in the U.S. has taken a hit. Americans’ spending on shaving razors and blades fell for the first time since the Great Recession, to $2.3 billion. At the same time, men’s skin care saw the largest growth of any men’s grooming industry. Spending rose 7 percent to more than $260 million.
