Ch-check it out: Beastie Boy Adam “MCA” Yauch, who died from throat cancer last year, is being honored with a Brooklyn playground to be named after him. The Palmetto Playground on State Street in Brooklyn Heights, near where Yauch grew up, was officially renamed the Adam Yauch Playground in a dedication ceremony Friday. A press release about the honor says that Yauch used to ride his bike at the very playground that will now bear his name.
