The trial against Silvio Berlusconi has begun, but don’t expect a verdict any time soon: After opening hearings, the court adjourned until May 31. The whole session lasted just a few minutes, with neither Berlusconi nor the underage woman he allegedly slept with, Karima El Mahroug, in attendance. On Monday, taped conversations of Berlusconi and Mahroug discussing her age leaked; prosecutors say he paid for her services 13 times. However both Berlusconi and Mahroug deny having sex.
