Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders raised more than $42 million in February alone, his campaign announced early Tuesday. Sanders said $6 million of that total was raised in one day during a push for contributions on Monday. Donors gave an average of $30 each, Sanders’ camp said, comparing it to rival Hillary Clinton’s alleged big-ticket donations. Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver said, “Working Americans chipping in a few dollars every week are changing the way campaigns in our country are financed.”
