Bibi: I’m Actually for Palestinian State

Just days after Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed the possibility of Palestinian statehood in a last-minute effort to rally the right-wing vote ahead of Israel’s election, the prime minister said he didn’t really mean that. Reaffirming his commitment to “a sustainable, peaceful two-state solution,” Netanyahu on Thursday blamed the failure of peace talks on a joint Palestinian government with Hamas, which Israel considers a terrorist organization, and on the Palestinian government’s refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
