Newly reelected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologized Monday for making remarks that insulted Arab-Israeli voters on election day. “The right-wing government is in danger,” he said last week. “Arab voters are going en masse to the polls. Left-wing NGOs are bringing them on buses.” He also claimed that foreign actors were intervening in Israeli democracy by getting the minority faction to vote. In his apology, Netanyahu said it was not his intention to hurt Arab citizens, and noted the investments his government has made in their community.
