Collectors shelled out about $190,000 for the belongings of Unabomber Ted Kaczynski at an online auction, the proceeds of which go to the families of his victims. Kaczynski's personal journals brought in $40,674, while his iconic hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses went for $20,025. His manifesto, in which he rails against modern technology, went for $20,053, and the typewriter he wrote it on, for $22,003. Kaczynski has been waging a seven-year legal battle to regain ownership of his belongings.
