Vice President Joe Biden would likely focus on restoring middle-class opportunities if he decides on a presidential run in 2016, a top aide revealed in an email obtained by the AP on Thursday. Another aid told CNN that Biden's family is entirely supportive of a possible bid, which could prove to be what finally pushes the VP into the race. Former Delaware Sen. Ted Kaufman, one of Biden’s political advisers, asked former staffers to stay in close contact as the vice president would need their help immediately if he chooses to enter the race. “If he runs, he will run because of his burning conviction that we need to fundamentally change the balance in our economy and the political structure to restore the ability of the middle class to get ahead,” Kaufman said.
