Information seized from Osama bin Laden's compound suggests that al Qaeda was planning a terrorist attack on American soil for the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The alleged plan was still in its early stages; bin Laden was reportedly in the process of choosing operatives to carry out the mission when he was killed by Navy SEALs on May 2. The new revelations also include fresh details about the al Qaeda chief’s frosty relationship with his operations deputy, Attiyah Abd al-Rahman. Rahman suggested men for the mission but they were all rejected by bin Laden.
