Black Swan, Darren Aronofsky’s thriller set in New York’s ballet scene, will open this year’s Venice Film Festival on September 1. The film’s impressive cast includes Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel, Mila Kunis, Barbara Hershey, and Winona Ryder. The movie will be Aronofsky’s third consecutive film to earn the opening honor. The Wrestler opened the festival in 2008 and won the prestigious Golden Lion and his previous movie, The Fountain, opened the fest in 2006.
