Blackmail is now considered the motive behind the murder of British businessman Neil Heywood. Bo Xilai’s wife, Gu Kailai, has admitted to killing Heywood and attributed her actions to a mental breakdown, according to state media. In trial Thursday, prosecutors said Gu poisoned Heywood when the two met alone at a hotel in Chongqing, China back in November. Her lawyers said that Gu’s “ability to control her own behavior was weaker than a normal person,” because she supposedly was under the impression that Heywood had threatened her son over a business dispute. Gu has reportedly said she will “accept and calmly face any sentence.”
