An explosion in Lahore, Pakistan, has killed at least 13 people and injured dozens more, according to reports. The blast is believed to have been a suicide bombing, after an attacker plowed a motorcycle into a group of police who were escorting a protest rally. The bomb went off during a protest over drug sales. According to the BBC, officials blocked off the area out of fear that another bomb could detonate. A faction of the Pakistani Taliban, Jamaat-ur-Ahrar, reportedly called Reuters to claim responsibility for the blast. “We have fought this fight against the terrorists among us, and will continue to fight it until we liberate our people of this cancer, and avenge those who have laid down their lives for us,” Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said.
