Just a week after recovering the black box flight recorder from Air France 447, investigators have recovered the first body from the crash. The flight from Rio de Janeiro crashed in June 2009 and was lost at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean for two years. The body, which was still belted into a seat, has been well-preserved due to the high pressure and low temperatures at the bottom of the ocean, but investigators say recovery could be tricky, because raising the bodies will cause decomposition. Some victims were found floating in the water. The cause of the crash, which killed 288 people, is still unknown, but investigators hope the flight data recorder will offer some hints.
