Bank of America has joined a growing list of financial institutions who are refusing to serve WikiLeaks. In a statement, Bank of America said that their decision to stop handling WikiLeaks' accounts "is based upon our reasonable belief that WikiLeaks may be engaged in activities that are, among other things, inconsistent with our internal policies for processing payments." MasterCard and PayPal are other financial organizations that have refused to assist WikiLeaks. The controversial organization is now running out of ways to receive donations and contributions. After hearing the news, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange tweeted, "We ask that all people who love freedom close out their accounts at Bank of America." Earlier Assange announced that WikiLeaks' next release will be regarding banks, including a slew of documents pertaining to Bank of America.
