Boko Haram, the Islamist militant group that made headlines in April when it abducted more than 300 young girls, has apparently turned its attention to males. In an attack on the town of Doron Baga in Nigeria on Sunday, 10 people were killed and about 100 men and boys kidnapped, according to a member of a local vigilante group who expressed fears that Boko Haram would force the men to conscript as insurgents. Boko Haram is estimated to have killed 2,053 people in the first six months of 2014 alone, according to Human Rights Watch.
