In the 4x100-meter relay Saturday night, Usain Bolt led his team to a new world record, giving the legendary sprinter three gold medals at the 2012 Olympic Games. Already conquering the 100m and 200m sprints, Bolt encored with a win on Saturday night, just one day before the closing ceremony. Teammates Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Yohan Blake, and Bolt finished in 36.84 seconds, breaking their own record of 37.10 last year. Team USA came in second at 37.04 seconds, and Trinidad moved to third after a disqualification from Canada. In other track-and-field news, Britain’s Mo Farah took home a second gold in the 5,000m on Saturday, just days after winning gold in the 10,000m.
