Bono may no longer be the “Worst Investor in America.” HP’s purchase of Palm means that Bono is likely to break even on his investment in the troubled Palm, whose share price is worth about one-third of what it was last September. Bono had put his money in Elevation Partners, which in turn invested the money in Palm; he is listed as one of the five members of the investment team at Elevation, which has also put money in struggling companies like Forbes and Yelp.
