Variety reports that several movie houses are “breaking a longstanding taboo” and releasing aggressive, male-driven pictures on Super Bowl weekend. Usually a box office refuge for chick flicks and lighter fare, this year’s Bowl weekend will feature the action-packed Liam Neeson vehicle Taken and horror pic The Uninvited. Also out this weekend is Renee Zellweger's romantic comedy New in Town.
