Police in Chicago say a 17-year-old boy was gunned down with an assault rifle on Sunday right in front of a church. The shooting reportedly took place as Mass was being said at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, and the boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released. A police spokesman said a “high-capacity assault rifle” had been used and that the incident is believed to have been gang-related.
