New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady praised his mother after guiding his team to victory last night in Super Bowl LI and winning the coveted MVP trophy. Brady’s mother is currently fighting cancer, and was at NRG Stadium in Houston on Sunday to watch her son win his fifth Super Bowl ring. “She’s been through a lot, you know, way harder than what I went through last night,” Brady said Monday morning at a press conference. “I’m just happy last night to be able to celebrate with her. And she hadn’t been to a game all year, so what a hell of a game for her to be at.”
