Happy days are here again in London—especially after three months of partying have caused the recession to end. The British economy grew by one percent in July through September 2012, propelled by the Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee in the previous quarter. The result? The recession is officially over after nine months, according to the Gross Domestic Product figures released on Thursday. But despite the growth, the economy has still not reached its pre-2008 levels. The opposition Labor party questioned whether the numbers were indicative of long-term growth.
